November Competition Results
November's competition was a tough one. The theme was humor and I just had very little in that department. Sure, maybe a few ironic photos or something mildly humorous in a "you had to be there" kind of way. I enlisted a few friends to help pick out a few photos and in the end, I submitted 2 digital color photos, 1 black and white digital photo, and then 1 color print. I did not place with any of the photos.
The judge has treated my photos well in the past, but this time, I just didn't have anything strong enough. That being said, I ended up in 6th place for the year, 32 points and 14 wins. In all 7 honorable mentions, 4 3rd place, 2 2nd place, and 1 1st place finish for the year. I fell short of my goal of 15 wins for the year, but I will absolutely take a 14 win year. Only 3 in the club eclipsed that mark. I also would have liked to have gotten 7 more points because that would have made me Bronze and Silver in the same year. So, next year, if I get 27 points, I will make Silver and Gold. Goals will be a conversation for another day. Here are my 4 entries for the month.
