North Alabama Air Fest
Apologies to my faithful readers, it's been busy around here with not a lot of extra time for photography. Preparing the yard, house, and vehicles for fall and winter has overwhelmed me, as well as work. More on all of that later. So yeah, I've been meaning to get out with my drone to play with it, but when I have time, the weather isn't great. The same with my camera. I have wanted to get out for some bird photography but I just can't seem to make it out the door. That all changes the week of October 27th. I have decided to take a week off from work to have the week to photograph fall colors, or whatever else I want. I cannot wait!
That being said, a friend invited me to go to a nearby air show in mid September and I jumped at the invite. I've never photographed an air show, and while it wasn't really on my must photograph list, I had to go. I had a lot of fun. It was a great show, the weather was perhaps a bit too hot which ruined many photos with atmospheric heat haze, but overall, I walked away with 35 or so keepers. A handful I think are great, and maybe 1 or 2 will make my portfolio.
Here are a few of my favorites from the North Alabama Air Fest at Pryor Field in Decatur, Alabama.
