How is it May already?
How is it May already? Near the end of May too. Time sure has flown this year, and I feel as though I have not had much time if any to devote to my photography, this website, and my education. I have been getting out quite a bit, but most of the time it is to recce a location. Sometimes a photo from the recce works, sometimes the light is good then as well and I get a photo I can work with. Often, it is for later, when the conditions are right.
Since I have been back from Scotland and Norway, I have been out many times with my camera. This morning, I took some photos of the Saturn V replica at the Space and Rocket Center from a different perspective. One I hope will be fruitful when the conditions are right. Then, I visited Alum Hollow Falls on Green Mountain for some waterfall photography. We’ve had lots of rain so I hoped it would be flowing. It was, but the sun popped out right when I arrived at the falls and made it difficult to photo. While I was there, I still took photos of 3-4 compositions. Hopefully I can get to those photos soon!
Since I have been back, I have photographed at the following locations: Downtown Huntsville for the Cherry Blossom trees, several outings at the canola fields all around the county, two Trash Panda games, two visits to the Space and Rocket Center, the Land Trust, Sloss Furnace in Birmingham, and the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. And oh yeah, I forgot about a few sessions in the backyard as well as some macro photography indoors. Needless to say, I have a mountain of photos to work through. Here are a few I have processed, two from downtown and one from my Land Trust visit. More to come...
