The local club’s monthly competition was last week with the theme being Open, or anything goes. The judge is a local university art and photography professor, and one of the better judges. However, he can be fickle in what he likes in any given moment. He even said as much, he has actually started to appreciate bird and waterfall photos. That said, he selected my photo of Cucumber Falls in Ohiopyle State Park for 2nd place in Color Print.
No other photos placed. It was an incredibly tough competition with so many amazing photos.
With one competition, I am solidly in the top 5, currently in 4th place with 43 points and 17 wins. I am 2nd place in wins which is exciting. If I have a strong showing at the next competition, I could potentially finish in 2nd place. And overall, I have eclipsed Silver and Gold level in the club this year, and now only need 22 points to achieve a Master of Photography rank in our club.
Here are my 4 submitted photos!
