Lofoten, Norway

Back in March, I went to the Lofoten region of Norway for a photography workshop with Stuart McGlennon and Demiray Oral. I flew in to Scotland to spend some time with friends, and to acclimate myself to the 6 hour time change. While in St. Andrews, I visited all of my favorite parts of the town and explored a few places I had not been before. Even using public transportation more than ever before. It's so easy, why not? Photos from there and Edinburgh will be shared in a different entry.

Anyway, back to Norway. The workshop was fantastic! Stuart and Demi put us in some great locations at the right times for some amazing compositions. And we were blessed with amazing weather. Some of the locations we visited were Vareid, Vikten, Eggum, and Hamnoy. The snow and ice was starting to melt in many places and we never got an epic sunrise or sunset, but I did not leave disappointed.

Now, almost 8 months later, I am just now finished with my photos. I believe I have at least 5 portfolio worthy photos, and so many more absolute stunners. Sadly, I did not get to see the aurora. Iceland, Scotland, Alaska, and Lofoten hasn't produced the aurora for me, but my backyard at 34 degrees latitude did.

Without much more blabbering, here are my favorite photos from Norway. The entire collection can be found on my Flickr page.
